- Bachelor of Commerce Financial Planning and Investments - Griffith University
- Associate Financial Planner (AFP®) & Practitioner Member of Financial Planning Association (FPA)
I’ve worked at the BKO Group since 2004 after studying Financial Planning and Accounting at University. I have not taken any short-cuts in getting to where I am today, having worked my way up from an administrative assistant through to being a financial planner. This means that I understand all of the steps required to both produce and implement a financial plan.
Whilst my degree gave me the tools I needed to start my career, I believe the significant experience I have gained ‘on the job’ working with clients who have various circumstances, needs and wants has been the most important learning experience I have had, both in terms of my career and lessons in life. Out of the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends, weekends away at the beach, watching sport and travel.
Tom's ideas of Financial Freedom
My idea of financial freedom is having the financial security to meet day to day expenses without worry, whilst also having enough left over to spend money enjoying life. Big ticket items are further travel, with Antarctica as the place I am most looking forward to going.
